Born in la belle province of Québec, I have been snowboarding since I was 3 and started competing around the age of 12 doing all discipline, Alpine, Snowboard Cross, Freestyle. After moving out to Vancouver, British Columbia with my family in 2008 and getting to ride Big Mountains, Jumps, Powder, it was obvious that Snowboardcross was the perfect combination of all I love about snowboarding.
Over the years I have fallen and got back up. I have worked hard to get to where I am right now and all I want to do is get better, faster and stronger. I am thankful for the loving support of my family and friends, that helped me accomplish goals and motivate me on keeping to accomplish more, but I’m now to that level where as a development team athlete, it’s whether or not I have enough money to go to every stop on the tour or not to earn more points and racing experience that’s going to shape which athlete is going to make it or break it.
On top of being a political science student and athlete, I also work to help pay for my annual team fees, the cost related to flying from one competition to the other, all the expenses related to bringing my coach with me on the road, my accommodation, lift tickets to access all of my training and competing facilities and fees to enter competitions because it's bloody expensive! Let's be honest; my time would be much better spent being in the gym and on a Snowboardcross track more than being at work.
Your financial support would mean the world to me, every penny will help me get to a pre-season training camp in Hintertux, Austria in November, all of the Nor-Am Cup Stops, The World Cup Stops that I will get invited to have a start at and the Winter University Games in Trentino, Italy in December 2013 which are all events that will help me to one day achieve my ultimate goal of representing Canada at The Winter Olympic Games.
